Windows is validating identity for wireless network
I suspect a firmware upgrade probably fixes that behaviour.
If the box was checked, then that was why you were getting the “unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network” message because Windows is looking for one, but your wireless router is not setup for certificate security. Once I unchecked that box and tried to reconnect to the wireless network, everything worked fine! Click OK to close Middlebury College Wireless Network properties. Enter your username and password (same as your email account). The username should be “MIDD\your_username”(MIDD\tsmith for example) You should now be connected to the Middlebury College network! When I try to connect using the windows zero configuration utility it gets stuck validating identity. It says something about windows not finding a certificate.
